BC "Khimik" - MBC "Mykolaiv"100:72

Leader Khimik delivered the seventeenth victory. This time they crushed 9th ranked Mykolaiv (9-11) in Yuzhny. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Mykolaiv. The game without a history. Khimik led from the first minutes and controlled

entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Mykolaiv's 26.

Khimik forced 21 Mykolaiv turnovers and outrebounded them 35-24 including 22 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Khimik players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Mykolaiv's players. The former international forward Vitaliy Kovalenko (203-84) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. American guard Matt Gatens contributed with 17 points for the winners.

Khimik's Karlis Muiznieks felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Bill Clark (195-88, college: Duquesne) answered with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Croatian power Mateo Kedzo (206-84) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Mykolaiv. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Khimik (17-2) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place. Mykolaiv at the other side dropped to the tenth position with 11 games lost.

 Khimik will play against bottom-ranked DniproAzot (#14) in Dniprodzerzhynsk in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Mykolaiv will play at home against Hoverla (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
